About Me

My photo
Wow where do I begin??? First of all I love my Jesus. He's my rock & comforter. By no means am I perfect & I am so thankful that in Him I am saved. I have been married to my best friend for 5 years. Colby is such a great hubby and amazing daddy. I can't believe what a hard worker he is and what he does for our family. If it's possible, I love him more everyday. We have two little boys, Jake who turned three in January and has blessed our lives more than we could have ever imagined! And Jett who was born in November and is such a sweet angel! Becoming a mommy has brought out an entire new part of me that I never knew existed. And I honestly can't even describe it. But it's the best, most significant, and most rewarding thing I've ever done. My family is my WORLD...I'm not worthy of such a beautiful family. GOD IS GOOD!

Our growing baby boy!

I think it's time for an update! I can't believe our baby boy is almost two months old. It really has flown by. And he seems to have changed so much in that time! Everyday he's smiling and laughing more and more. He thinks that mommy and daddy are pretty funny right now! He loves being sung to...he thinks it is so funny. We usually get the biggest smiles out of him when we do that. He's grown so much...we don't go back to the pediatrician until his two month checkup so we don't know exactly what he weighs but Colby and I are guessing he's around 11 lbs. He's becoming quite a little chunk! It's SO cute! Also, no one is going to believe this, but he has been rolling over from his tummy to his back. I know that it sounds impossible with him being 6 1/2 weeks old, but the other night he did it and we thought it was an accident so we put back on his tummy and he rolled over five more times! We've got it on video and if I knew how to post it on this thing I would! We also got him this little mirror, (we got it from his friend Boston!), and he LOVES playing on the floor and looking at himself! He is just fascinated with it. He's eating like crazy these days! He was eating like every hour to hour and a half and it was just insane that we were feeding him that often so we finally decided we had to start giving him some cereal too. That has helped so much! And he loves it! He is losing the dark hair that he was born with and some very very blonde hair is growing in its place. You can see his cute bald head in the pictures. He's gotten so good at holding his head up. He's still a little wobbly but he's definitely getting there. Jake has also started to out grow some of his clothes! It's been kind of sad! This morning I put a onesie on him that fit just a week or so ago and today it was too tight. He can wear some 3 month stuff!! And that is crazy to me! It's so neat to see his personality form. He is still just the most laid back little baby...and so observant. He's good all the time. We have been getting out of the house more lately, (FINALLY), and he has no problems at all. He doesn't seem to mind his carseat at this point and as long as he gets to eat when he's hungry he's good to go. We took him to see his first movie the other day. He slept through it! :) He is so happy when he first wakes up in the morning...so smiley! Jake and mommy do some good talking at that time. Daddy is Jake's buddy. It's so neat to watch the two of them together. We could honestly just sit and watch him all day. I catch myself just staring at him sometimes. Then when I "wake up" I'm like, "Oh my goodness, I am a MOMMY! And you're my baby!" Ha ha. We are just so thankful that God brought us such a perfect little healthy, happy baby. And like I've said probably a hundred times...we couldn't have dreamed how wonderful this was going to be. I find myself always saying that I knew I would love Jake, I loved him before he was physically here, but the kind of love you feel is just so indescribable, it's so much more intense than you could ever imagine. And seeing Colby be a daddy to Jake has just made me fall more and more in love with him. We feel so fulfilled! I just wanted everyone to have an update and see what Jake has been up to the past few weeks! I will update again soon...hopefully it won't take as long for me to do it as it did this time!

Oh Megan... I really liked your blog :) It almost brought me to tears! It could have been the pregnancy hormones, but I think it was just all the details that you included that made me want to cry! I think about how soon ours will be here and I am ecstatic! I'm so happy for you three as it sounds like everything has been smooth and perfect! Praise the Lord... He is good!
