9 Months

Jake, I looked at you today and realized how quickly you are becoming a little boy. I feel like sometimes it changes daily...I can put you to bed at night and when you wake up in the morning it's like you've become more of my big BOY and less of my little BABY. What a strange feeling that is. To be so excited to see you grow up and want you to learn new things but at the same time wondering where the time has gone!

Mommy and daddy are so proud of you! Yes, at nine months old you do things DAILY that make us so proud. You are always so happy and loving! And you love to learn new things...you think it is so much fun when mommy or daddy shows you how to do something!

You LOVE people. You love your family and your friends so much! You are now to the age where you can really play with others and it is SO fun to watch!

We can even be at the grocery store and when we turn up an aisle, if someone else is on the same row, you say as loud as you can, "Hi!" It is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. And it's so funny as we're turning you lean as far as you can to see down the aisle before we get all the way turned! You're ready to greet whoever is waiting! :)

You're getting closer and closer everyday to walking. You've taken two steps to me a couple of different times, and you've taken a step or two to daddy all by yourself too. I think you're still a little nervous about it but once you get the confidence to just take off you'll have it down!

Bath time is still one of your favorite times. You would sit in there for hours if mommy would let you! But when it's time to get out and mommy says, "All done?" you are such a good boy and reach up for me to get you out.

A couple of weeks ago mommy and daddy moved your room around a little bit and daddy put up a t.v. in there so you could play and watch your movies. You LOVE it! Sometimes when you first wake up daddy will go in there with you and play. Your favorite things to watch right now are Cars, Veggie Tales (you love the theme song), and Elmo's World. Your friend Bradley has the Praise Baby dvds and you really like those too! You like to sit in your little chair more now too and you're learning to get yourself down out of it!

We did find out something you did NOT like right now. The car wash!! We went through it one day and we thought that you might think all the bubbles and colors would be fun but that was not the case. Here's what you really thought!

We've gone through another one since then and you still didn't like it but it was for sure a better experience for you.

We took you to your first pumpkin patch! It was funny because when we put you in your monkey costume it was like you understood that it was "silly" because you were so excited and just laughed and had the best time!! And you just looked adorable in your monkey suit!

Jake mommy feels like everyday with you is like Christmas. I can't wait to wake up in the morning and see you! You have filled our lives with more joy than we could have ever imagined. And even though time seems to go by so fast we wouldn't change one second that we have with you. We love you more than you know!
