About Me

My photo
Wow where do I begin??? First of all I love my Jesus. He's my rock & comforter. By no means am I perfect & I am so thankful that in Him I am saved. I have been married to my best friend for 5 years. Colby is such a great hubby and amazing daddy. I can't believe what a hard worker he is and what he does for our family. If it's possible, I love him more everyday. We have two little boys, Jake who turned three in January and has blessed our lives more than we could have ever imagined! And Jett who was born in November and is such a sweet angel! Becoming a mommy has brought out an entire new part of me that I never knew existed. And I honestly can't even describe it. But it's the best, most significant, and most rewarding thing I've ever done. My family is my WORLD...I'm not worthy of such a beautiful family. GOD IS GOOD!

Happy Birthdays!!

It's time for birthday catch up! I am finally getting a chance to get caught up on a few events.

Dad's birthday was July 1st and we celebrated by taking him out to eat at Red Robins. It was Jake's first time there and we got to sit by the big red bird, which he just loved!

For dad's cake we made him cherry cheesecake, (his FAVE), and some oreo pudding. (One of our FAVES!)

Here's dad with the gift Jake got him!

Matt was practicing on the coloring page so he'll be able to do them with Jake later on!!

Fourth of July was so much fun! We went to Canyon's usual fair on the square and the parade. Jake was having so much fun walking around and seeing all the people! He was sat up and ready to go when we got there. He got a balloon, which he just LOVED, but unfortunately, it flew away! For the parade we went and sat with the Langens, Bells, and Shanna, Bradley, and Kristie. It was so fun getting to watch Jake experience it all for the first time. We were afraid that the loud sirens might scare him, but he seemed to really like it!

Someone was starting to get a little sleepy by the end of the very very long parade!

After the parade and Jake's nap, we went to Amarillo to eat before all the fireworks started. I think Jake really had fun on his first Independence Day. We went with my family out to some friends house for fireworks and games. Colby played all the games, but he won the "guess how much candy is in the jar" game! Way to go daddy! :) And when the fireworks started it was really neat to see Jake. When they first started, he'd jump when he heard the first big pop. But as they went on he really got into it and just relaxed with mommy and watched all the fun colors in the sky!

This last Saturday Jake's friend Breccan had his first birthday! Here are a few pictures.

The older babies eating cupcakes...and here's Jake wondering why he can't have one!

Callahan, Breccan, and Jake breaking in all the new toys.

Stephanie and the birthday boy!! Boston Jay playing in the grass! So fun!

Jake playing with daddy. And Jake and Boston checking out Breccan's toys.

We had an amazing weekend! It was so fun to get to watch Jake go through it all for the first time. He had so much fun with Grandma and Papa and all his friends!
