As of today, (officially), Jake is CRAWLING! He's finally gotten the movements figured out and can get to where he wants to go! He's still a little slow moving but he is definitely doing it! For a while now he's had his feet figured out but he wouldn't move his hands so his feet just kept going until his little butt was straight in the air and he was on his tip toes! And now he'll reach way up with each hand as he moves it forward, he's so cute! (Probably not as amusing to you all as it is to his mommy and daddy, but still precious!) It has been so much fun watching him learn how to do it the past few weeks. It's crazy and time has just FLOWN by. I can't believe my baby is crawling...wow.
I just realized the other day that my camera can take video too so I'll get him crawling and attempt to post it on here. For now, here's just some cute pictures we've taken recently.

Other cute things my baby is doing? Well let me see...even though he's just started crawling, he is already pulling himself up on anything he can. Last night at mom and dad's he got over to the banister and pulled up all the way to standing and just held on to the little white poles for the longest time! And Colby and I kept a big Huggies box and he pulls himself up on that all the time...he'll just stand there and watch cartoons! It's precious! And he will actually move himself all the way around the box! It's so funny!
He LOVES it when you sit in the floor and let him "walk" to someone. We'll all sit in the floor and just pass him around in the circle and he just reaches for the next person and keeps on going! And he just giggles the whole time! I tell you that boy wants to walk BAD! If he's fussy, (which he rarely is), if all else fails, stand him up and walk with him because 99.9% of the time he wants up on his feet.
Oh, he can high five! It's SO cute! We'll put our hand up and say "high five" and he thinks it's hilarious! He just laughs and puts his little hand up on ours! (Now, no he doesn't slap our hands like a REAL high five, but he's got the idea down pat!)

He loves his cheerios and recently we've cut up some peaches and let him have some and he really liked that too. AND he can pick them up and feed himself! :) We can just put him in his highchair and give him some cheerios and he's good!

Another new thing Jake's been doing...and I guess it pretty much just started the past couple days. But for example, we went to Wal-Mart yesterday and while I shop I always talk to him and ask him what he wants and if I've forgotten anything :) and yesterday he's just "talking" to me like he always does, and then out of the clear blue he starts like shrieking! It's not really like a scream but more a very loud squeak! We were checking out and I was paying and he's just sitting in the cart doing this and EVERYONE is just laughing at him...he was definitely the center of attention!

It's amazing to watch this little person grown from a newborn who couldn't do anything, to this curious little boy! He's gotten such a cute personality and he is so sweet and friendly. We can hardly believe how big he's gotten...and he's halfway to one! We JUST had him! Where has the time gone? I keep trying to hold onto every moment but it's just going so fast. Every stage with Jake has been such a joy and a blessing and we have truly cherished all of it. We are looking forward to what's ahead but it's hard for me as a mommy to not want to just push pause and keep things right where they are now! We just love him so much! :)

Check back for more updates, there's a lot going on these days so I'm sure we'll have plenty to blog about!
