About Me

My photo
Wow where do I begin??? First of all I love my Jesus. He's my rock & comforter. By no means am I perfect & I am so thankful that in Him I am saved. I have been married to my best friend for 5 years. Colby is such a great hubby and amazing daddy. I can't believe what a hard worker he is and what he does for our family. If it's possible, I love him more everyday. We have two little boys, Jake who turned three in January and has blessed our lives more than we could have ever imagined! And Jett who was born in November and is such a sweet angel! Becoming a mommy has brought out an entire new part of me that I never knew existed. And I honestly can't even describe it. But it's the best, most significant, and most rewarding thing I've ever done. My family is my WORLD...I'm not worthy of such a beautiful family. GOD IS GOOD!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

Christmas!! We got our house decorated with all our Christmas stuff! The tree is up, the stockings are out, and the lights are hung! We're ready Santa! I think Jake is enjoying his first Christmas experience. He loves to look at the tree, and occasionally pull an ornament or two off! :) And he is really curious about the presents. But I think he knows what to do with them...the other day he was playing and started pulling the wrapping paper off one of our gifts! I told him that we had to wait til Christmas! ;) But really, I can't tell him "no" when he does it because I don't want him to think that's a "no-no" on Christmas day. But I told him if he feels like he just HAS to unwrap one, he can open one of mommy's! Ha ha!

We went to see Santa. And we're standing in line waiting and the little lady elf asks us if he'll be scared. What? No, he won't, he's friendly to everyone, he just loves people. But just to be on the safe side, we will just let him see Santa first, kinda let him get used to him before we hand him over, if he's scared we'll just get in the picture with him...but, he'll be fine, Jake will LOVE Santa!!!
Well...maybe not this year! Luckily mommy and daddy have good connections with the big red guy, so no need to worry, Santa will still be visiting Jake's house.

Even though we're PROBABLY NOT going to be visiting Santa again anytime soon this year, we are still SO looking forward to our first Christmas with Jake. I'm not sure if I've ever been more excited for Christmas before...and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time!! But it's the whole experience of getting to see him do it all for the first time. I can't wait!!!!

One last non-Christmas related thing to leave you with. As you know, I think my little boy is just too cute. So, these are probably a lot cuter to me than they will be to you all, but I have to share.

One new thing that Jake thinks is SO FUN:

Climbing into the fridge. He doesn't really pull things out, just gets in it, peeks in the drawers, and sits on the bottom of the fridge.

And I just think this is so sweet. The dogs have really started to take to Jake and I caught all three of them playing with the dryer sheet!
